Day 1: Ionic Bonding

Introduction
Ionic bonds are all around you. They are found in common substances like salts, rocks, and many other compounds. In this lesson, we get to explore the simplicity of the ionic bond and review previous ideas like valence electrons and ions. Gathering information from your book and by watching a couple short videos, the nuances of ionic bonding should become a part of your knowledge base.

4) Post a link to share with the class on this shared google doc found at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aLuAY39jU30KhY6llV0z3YhHvbxeeYzpxj6YNKHxrZY/edit?usp=sharing It should supports or extend the ideas of this lesson. It could be an article from a journal, an animation, or something that applies to your daily life. Responses are due by day 3. Be creative. You will be providing a summary of what you find to the class in a separate document. Do not add anything to the final column yet, we will be coming back to this later this week.
